How can we unravel from one presence to another the thread of an adventure meant to lead
what is multiple to an impossible oneness…?
"Bande à part" is based on a desire to reshape the presence of six people into a solo form.
It is about inventing the modalities of a relationship between a chorus and a soloist all serving a common figure and whose engine is the
listening and the solidarity.
This figure will be experienced through a series of actions or gestures exposing what imaginary things one single body can produce and
create.
All the actions can be divided up and performed by everyone.
They can transform instantly according to anyone’s moods and degrees of perception, generating unpremeditated situations.
The order of appearance is not predetermined, for we are practicing live editing, in the present tense of the performance.
