André Guedes, born in 1971 in Lisbon, lives in Lisbonne.
He is graduated in Architecture.
Between 2004 and 2005 he took part in in «Le Pavillon », the creation lab and pedagogical unity of the Palais de Tokyo
(Paris).
André Guedes exposes his own work in several solo and group shows, as well as in other events, both in Portugal and
abroad. His works often collects its referring elements from the context and space in which they are presented.
In his solo exhibition at Serralves Museum of Contemporary Art in Porto he invited Martine Pisani to create together
“a prepared piece” presented in two parts between October 2004 and January 2005. He conceived as well space and
scenic design for dance performances by Portuguese choreographers such as Vera Mantero and Miguel Pereira.
